HOWTO Ubuntu Lite

i've managed to install ubuntu lite on a 2gb hard drive, but there's not a lot of room to spare, so kernel upgrades are tricky, and you have to make sure you delete all your old kernels. you'll really need to be conscious of disk space usage.

I've installed Xubuntu on a 2GB HDD.

Would it be advisable to join forces with the Fluxbuntu team rather then go on with the Ubuntu-Lite project? I would suppose those who don't like Flux could install IceWM.

The ubuntulite project has been revived and is being lead by Shae Smittle. The new version is in beta testing, and is to be based on open-box wm, and fbpanel, with the slim display manager.

In order to install it follow these instruction.

BTW, you should not install the old version of ubuntu-lite on anything after dapper drake.
