Wireless Networks are gone after a few seconds.

    Hi,

I'm running Hardy Heron 8.10 and using a Dlink USB Wireless G adapter. When I plug it in Ubuntu sees it right away. When I go into the properties of the adapter and click the drop down for available networks it sees them all only for a few seconds and then there is nothing in the drop down. If I manually configure the settings for my router I still get no internet connection. I have tested the adapter on a windows machine at the same location and it sees all the wireless networks fine and connection is strong. Anybody else ever come across this? Any help would be great

I think I may have found the issue. I had the hardwire network connection active at the same time as I was trying to get the wireless connected. I disconnected the hardwire and rebooted. After coming up I am able to ping sites and surf via the wireless adapter. That's the only thing I changed. Any input would be great.
