After spending weeks trying to get all my DVDs and rented DVDs to work in Linux, using MPLayer(No DVD menu SUCKS!!!) and Xine(sound lag made me cry), I came across Ogle (Has MEnu and No sound lag). Ogle is the easiest to install, but I never found a howto on Ubunto site, so her eis what i did:
1. Do the Extra-Repository thing - (look at starter guide)
2. TYPE: sudo apt-get install ogle
3. TYPE: sudo apt-get install ogle-gui
4. Install libdvdcss2 - (look at starter guide)
5. Restart gnome
I have watched 3 DVDs today... I am very happy. BTW... My setup is now: Ogle for DVDs and MPlayer for mpegs and the like. Make sure u have also installed the right codecs (look at starter guide).
