I'm not really from UK, but someone posted a link to this isp from uk.

This is a bit misleading, it is not FREE Software as in Ubuntu/Linux and Sourceforge. It appears to be software included with an ISP contract. I couldn't see any application software listed.

I'm still not clear how they get "profits" if the software is free, or do you pay for the "free" open source software. |

They don't sell software. They are a ISP (internet service provider). They sell internet access.

Maybe the ISP runs their equipment on a Linux-based system like Ubuntu Server, although the server program is free to download and install, the Support (for professional Users) from Canonical is not free - they have to pay the Bills like everyone else and that revenue helps with running costs. Likewise, the ISP being a commercial venture has to charge fees to cover its overheads, electricity, cups of coffee etc!
