    Re: Ubuntu Video Tutorials

I am quite surprised that this thread got through moderation. I posted it as a way for my hard work to at least do its job, and I submit it, just for it to go into moderation. It had been a long time since I had seen the rules for the Tutorials, and Tips forum and I was sort of worried, because I didn't think that it would be accepted. But the nature of the tutorials may have had something to do with it because, of the fact you can't host video tutorials on the forum.

Another Thing To Say is This Forum is a treasure trove for new Ideas and Videos.

    Re: Ubuntu Video Tutorials

Well ok, So I have begun work on a set of Edubuntu Video Tutorials that I will be introducing to you guys in the next couple of days. I have created the Install Edubuntu Desktop on Ubuntu tutorial, which is one of the easyest ways do doing it. I will be adding a few more videos t othe list momentarily. Again if you find a video on the web regarding ubuntu post a link here. Many people find videos a great place to start and get an Idea of what they are getting into.

    Hi,

There are a set of videos for lubuntu available at Screen Casts from one of the team for lubuntu.

I hope you find them useful both for content and methods of creating screen casts.

    Re: Ubuntu Video Tutorials

The Edubuntu Install Tutorial Was Finished This Morning... I will be producing a Ubuntu Studio Edition Install Video Soon, but the install videos are always repetitive. I wish I could ad some variation. Anyway. Had anyone found video tutorials on youtube/vimeo/other. Point theme out I will add them to a list filed under other authors.

Thanks for the thread, but It seams to me that The real problem with Video Tutorials is Infrequint production. What I have tryed to do is create simple easy to understand video tutorials that are well maintained. I wan't comments like "Well I liked the effort but could you do it again clearer and mention this" why well because video tutorials are hard to follow and infamous for being a pain, but being someone who does teach alot of people about different things. I always try to export my profesionalism to my videos. Another thing that bothers me is a general lack of care for sound quality. I use Audacity to record and then I make up for my bad mic with compression features. I do like video tutorials for the reason most people like them, it shows them every step.

    Thanks.

    Re: Ubuntu Video Tutorials

I have tried To Make My Videos as simple and comprehensive as possible. I have created Several Install Videos for Ubuntu/Xubuntu/Kubuntu/Lubuntu/Edubuntu and now I will be creating a tutorial on Ubuntu Server Edition. What should I mention bring up or be sure to talk about. I ask this because I don't always have time to do a ton of research about a distro and sometimes there is something that gets left out. I try to avoid this but it isn't always easy. I am asking what should I mention about the the Ubuntu Studio Edition. I will make a bolded comment at the top to point out my question. Thanks guys.

    Great videos!

However, why did you create your own website. Why didn't you post the videos to the official ubuntu screencasts???
