Firefox3- Is reboot required after update on 12 Nov

I am wondering if there is any weight to the conclusions we reached here?

I tested certain pages with Swiftweasel vs Firefox 3,
FF3 had problems swftswl didnt.

A reboot of the system was suggested, and to my surprise it worked.
We agreed that we had updated our systems recently..

Just wondering if there is anyone else out there who saw this?

I don't think this will help you but maybe. I am still on 8.04 and I have had several updates in the last few days. I believe one asked for a reboot. I don't think any of them had anything to do with Firefox but I have started to have some problems with Firefox also. All of the updates were rather small so I was surprised when asked to restart.
