You can share the database between Keepass and KeepassX. You'll need to have KeepassX installed in the Linux computers.

You can do what hyper_c suggested, in combination with Firefox add-ons: Secure Login and Master Password Timeout[this acts like the wand feature in Opera]. Making sure you use a Master Password.

You can also use your favorite password manger, create strong passwords, save to a text file, encrypt the text file and put in your usb stick.
I have never been able to import a Windows KeePass 1.x database into KeePassX in Ubuntu. Each time I do I get "Parsing Error: File is not valid KeePassX XML file." What's the secret?

I guess the secret is to just copy *.kdb file from your ubuntu ~/.passx.kdb to your Program Files folder in windows and vice versa. Works for me.

Along the same lines, I want a password manager tool for everything. Tired of trying to keep platforms aligned. What I need is a password manager for:

all things LINUX just browser so no big deal,
    Android (Good, google play, etc)
Windows (lotus, windows log in, browser stuff)
    Mac (Browser)
itunes (phone and pad) (browser, Good, download etc)
