How do I stop the following error?

    Code:
WARNING: untrusted versions of the following packages will be installed!

Untrusted packages could compromise your system's security.

The warning should say 'untested' instead of untrusted. I trust openoffice.org. OO-3 runs fine on my Ubuntu Box (and on my Windows Vista too). Ubuntu was just being overly cautious not including it in 8.10.

well, the way to fix it would be to enter 'yes' instead of 'no'

Consider it this way: The computer is asking you whether you trust the source of wherever the packages came from (e.g. calc's repository, the official OpenOffice.org web site, etc.). If you do, you just need to answer 'y' to proceed with installation.
Think before you type: If anybody asks you to type anything with rm -rf on the CLI, DO NOT do it! As a matter of fact, if you don't know what a set of commands will do, ask for clarification from other members.
