    Mic and Skype

I just recently upgraded to Intrepid, and then found out my mic, which used to work perfectly under Hardy, was not working now.

After briefly playing with the configuration options on gnome-sound-properties, and setting everything there to PulseAudio, I got my mic to work on almost every app.

    Almost every app.
Yes, you guessed it, I still can't get it to work on Skype. I've also tried setting everything to Pulse on the Skype audio config, but I still get no audio from the microphone. But I could make it work under Hardy, and haven't updated Skype since.

    What could be wrong here?

Skype comes with the ability to control your mic's level. Do you hear anything when you ring the Skype test call?

I didn't find that on the sound device options (see attached image).

Are you saying to not let skype adjust mic levels?

In Skype options, try setting the sound in to hardware instead of pulse. That seemed to fix my mic problem.
    Pacman so silly
