Ibex + Dell D600 doesn't play nice

Hi,

I have a Dell D600 which I have installed Intrepid Ibex onto. Several problems however:

The wireless device (Some ASUS 54mbps card which is apparently a RaLink chipset) Locks itself to a 1mpbs speed and I can't work out to change it to 54mpbs.
The keyboard and mouse screw up randomly, the mouse decides i can click on the Applications menu but it only highlights it so I can't open it, and this happens to everything like buttons and text boxes and such.
The keyboard stops responding to everything except CTRL + ALT + BACKSPACE, which fixes the problem, but that isn't a solution.

All and any help is appreciated.
