Compiz and Title bar issue

I am just curious if anyone else has an issue with compiz and their title bar buttons.

There is a screen shot attached - if you look at the top window's close button you'll see what I mean. This happens when ever I turn compiz on while I can get it to happen quite often it is not consistent.

i have seen this happen. someone is probably working on it

if you change the window border in system>preferences>appearance >theme>customize>window border to something else, you will stop seeing this

I've got the same problem when I turn on visual effects, with both the 173 and 177 nVidia drivers.

I had something very similar and hunted for ages for a solution until finally someone on this forum came up with something that seems to have cured the problem. I have a quote, copied from the original post, but I cant find the link just now so I cant credit the original poster.

This is some strange Compiz bug. It only seems to happen when using the Human, Clearlooks, and Glossy Metacity themes. The workaround is to use a different Metacity theme or use Emerald.

Thanks! I did end up using a different title bar and it works better now.

Were you using "Clearlooks" or some variation? If so, I think that is the problem. My buttons will completely disappear and I have to restart X.
