fastest arhiver ?

which arhive format is faster ?
.7z .ar .cbz .jar .tar .tar.7z .tar.bz2 .tar.lzma .zip

i want to arhive a folder 15GB and lock the arhive with a password...i don't care how the files are compressed just the time...or if u know other fast metod to encrypt a folder or other arhiver...

zip wold probably be the fastest due to it's low compression ratio

i tried zip and is to slow, i think will take about minim 3 hours to arhive 15 GB
