    Intrepid power .d places?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have a couple of scripts that save power, and one that does the hdparm hard drive spindown fix (my M1330 makes the hard drive click all the time).

On older versions, I would copy this to /etc/acpi/start.d, resume.d, and suspend.d.

But now I'm seeing people copy and/or 'install' these to /etc/pm/sleep.d and power.d

Which do I use for Intrepid?

Nothing at all. No "what", no "wow what a noob" or anything.

/etc/acpi still seems to work but I'm not understanding where PM came from.

    I am noober than you!
I have read in a SUSE forum the pm-utils is the next generation thingie. So this doesn't seem specific to ubuntu. The question should probably put in a proper hard-core linux forum, than distro specific ones as this.
