Ubuntu MID & Ubuntu 8.10 TouchScreen help

Maybe someone can explain Why MID has touchscreen support and works PERFECTLY fine with my Q1 ultra, yet Ubuntu 8.10 does not.

Ive spent the last 3 days calibrating, installing drivers and nothing.

Maybe someone knows how to get the touchscreen support onto 8.10 from MID.

OR has anyone had any luck with another Distro.

Re: Ubuntu MID & Ubuntu 8.10 TouchScreen help

Heres what i did. I installed Ubuntu MID which picks up the touchscreen. Then i install KDE on top of it using this.

sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude install kubuntu-desktop

now it works great with KDE running. I havent tried the Ubuntu one though.
