Sound on unibody MacBook Pro (MacBookPro5,1) in Intrepid Ibex (Ubuntu 8.10)

Another bad news for me. When I go in suspend mode and resume, the audio is "dead", I must open the volume control an switch channels from 6ch to 2ch and from 2ch to 6ch. Do other persons have this problem?

I'm having this suspend/resume audio problem, too. Any idea how I could reset it to 6ch from the command line? If I could figure that out, I could put it in a script that would run each time I resume.

Why is this marked as solved? The Mactel support instructions do not work for some, myself included. 5,1.

With 9.04 on mbp 5,1 sounds work fine, but it doesn't anymore after a resume, tested now.
