I'd go for a clean install and see what happens.
If it still happens after a clean install, then I'd say it's more then likely a hardware problem.

I'd probably throw in another hard drive and do a clean install on it and see if the problem persists. That way you still have everything from the other drive is working order.

No problem. Just trying to narrow down the cause a bit. I figure that if it is still acting up after a clean install, that it's probably a hardware thing that is causing it to act funky, even though there isn't anything in the logs.

This is an old thread. Wondering if it was every fixed. My machine is doing this now. And while people are convinced its hardware, I think nothing about this points to hardware. No way does hardware just turn off every 61 mins, no matter what the usage pattern.
I don't think there was any resolution.
