Run VLC as root

How can i run VLC as root ??
Okeh i know its dangerous to work in root but still i am willing to take that much risk

P S whenever i try to execute vlc command the error msgs comes "VLC i not supposed to run as root "

If you need to run vlc as root use vlc-wrapper, have a look at the man page here:

It tells you how to use it.

There should really be no need to run it this way on your own computer, but if you need to run it as root on a server to stream media, this is the way to do it.
