Question Resizing Ubuntu's partition without corrupting system...

How can I make my Ubuntu partition bigger without corrupting files? Last time I did that w/ a distro, I couldn't use it... I currently have ~40 GB since I thought Ubuntu would suck but I actually like it so I want to get more space. How can I do that? I got openSuSE 11.1 on my other partition of 200GB so I got a partitioner on it.

P.S. I don't want to corrupt my openSuSE installation either...
