    Firefox 2 on Intrepid?

Is it possible to get Firefox 2 on Intrepid? Firefox 3 has a bad habit of being EXTREMELY slow on two sites I frequent so I can't use it. Firefox 2 is why I'm still using 7.10. Can you get it on 8.10?

Here's another recent thread on the same topic:

I suppose the comments there, would apply here too.

Firefox 2 is about done from the Mozzilla viewpoint, so unless you can't live with FF3, you might want to look at an another option like Opera, or one of the Linux clones.

I did take a quick look through Synaptic on Intrepid, and FF2 isn't there.

That is disappointing. I'm going to use Firefox 2 regardless because I like and have grown use to it, so I suppose I will stick with 7.10 until I can get a new computer that doesn't have graphics issues. Hopefully around Christmas...

As far as I know, you can just download Firefox 2 from the official firefox website and use it. It does not need to be installed at all, since it runs well in your home directory.
