Having problems with k3b display

In Ibex 8.10 when I call up the program k3b, the programs loads, but is missing most of the text. Gnomebaker and brasero both load fine. I have added a picture to let you see what I am missing. I am wondering if this has anything to do with the new NVIDIA legacy driver 96.43.09, since I never had this problem before.

Found out that if I disable desktop effects the problem rectifies itself. I want to run desktop effects. I am listing my xorg.conf to see if you can find anything I may be missing:

I'm having the exact same problem. I suspect it is an issue with anti-aliased fonts, but I can't figure out how to disable them in K3B.
