No wirelss after upgrade

I have a moderately old Toshiba Satellite Laptop that has been running 8.04 since release. I use a DLink DWL-650+ card that worked fine under 8.04, but has ceased working under 8.10.

I'm using a fresh install of 8.10, and I noticed that the network manager has been reworked. I used to use the Network program from System>Administration>Network and set the network up from there since the network manager applet never worked properly.

I tried using the guide here to set up wireless without Network Manager, but if didnt work.

I need some help.
