    Granted, it's not FOSS, but if you really are forced to deal with Word/Excel/PowerPoint files on a regular basis, and if slight layout changes due to conversion to .odf are not acceptable, then this looks like a decent enough deal to me.
    Disclaimer: Please excuse my n00bness. I have OpenBSD/Mac OS/OS X/DOS/Windows experience, but I've only started using Ubuntu/Linux in September 2006.

    That may be so, but the fact still remains - It won't work on Ubuntu.
    Desktop | AMD 940 3.0x4 @ 3.2 | 4gB DDR2 Memory | ATI 5750 1024mb OCd | Windows 7 w/ Ubuntu dual boot.

    Wait, since when was the gPC using an AMD Sempron?
    Wasn't is supposed to be resource-unhungry?
    Couldn't they use the VIA Nano?

    I know, they are the major contributors to Wine. It is what some of the Wine dev's do so they can eat.
