Maybe check your client & router settings, i'm maxing my connection out currently (8mb/s).

I was getting 1.5mb/s last night dowloading [pleads the 5th], and haven't changed anything...

EDIT: It has since jumped to 80 kb/s, so at least it should finish today... I am downloading the Kubuntu image, so it's possible that there just aren't as many seeders.

The alternate amd64 iso is flying for me this morning. I am maxed out at just under 5MB/s. Definitely the fastest download I have ever had.

Huh? The regular amd64 iso's are around 700 MB. You don't need those DVD editions.

I started with Rapidshare because torrents were blocked (or at least heavily throttled to the point they were worthless) at my university, never looked back. The premium account is definitely worth it.

DVDs have some extra programs, many libraries, and many localization files. If file size is a matter of concern, the CDs are the way to go.
