    Lightning 0.9

I am a big fan of Thunderbird and use the Lightning extension to update my Google Calendar. In Ubuntu however, if I update to lightning 0.9, the whole calendar gets broken. I can not add my google calendar, neither can I add events. Basically the calendar functionality just breaks.

Has anyone successfully updated to Lightning 0.9?

I am currently using Thunderbird 2.0.0.17, on Ubuntu 8.04

    Re: Lightning 0.9

I, and several others have had the same issue, getting the default version of Thunderbird from the 8.10 repos to work with the latest lightening extension downloaded from the Mozilla website.

I found this page which may be of help. I believe the bug has been reported and Ubuntu team are working on it.

In the meantime, thee is a suggested fix on the same page.

As I become more familiar with Ubuntu, I become less dependent on Windows.

Works perfectly for me on my 32-bit Ubuntu. Haven't quite got it done on 64-bit, but I easily can try. What seems to be the problem?
