    Upgrade using binary packages?

I'm interesting in installing Sabayon again, but one thing that really takes up a lot of time for me is all of the compiling, especially if I'm upgrading an entire Sabayon install. I know FreeBSD provides an updated repository for using binaries, but does Gentoo/Sabayon have something similar?

Gentoo has binaries for some Desktop Environments, OpenOffice, Firefox, etc.

Also, I believe Sabayon has full binary package repositories, though since I've never used Sabayon I can't speak for their quality. With vanilla Gentoo, a couple of packages have a second, "-bin" version; this is usually the exact binary from upstream, though, not the results you'd get from compiling locally with all USE flags enabled.

Thanks for the replies. It seems that the Sabayon team is working on a binary repository for updates.
