How do I upgrade from alternative ISO without burning?

    This seems simple enough:

I want to mount the 8.10 RC Alternative ISO on my Ubuntu System so to avoid the need to burn a physical disc. How might I do that and then initiate the upgrade after it's mounted?

Extract the attached scripts in the following location:

    /home/[yourusername]/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts

You might have to hit Ctrl + H to view hidden files/directories. Close nautilus, and reopen. Now you can right click on the file | Scripts | mount iso.

but you can't upgrade from a non-physical disk (not easily, anyway). But why don't you use the update manager??
