I'm getting black screens loading FFVII (Only game I've tried)
Terminal stops at "Open SPU" and it seems like nothing is happening after that. I've tried every configuration of every plugin it feels like.
Any ideas?
I followed this guide exactly, and everything seemed to go alright. I got to the part where it said "just type epsxe to run", and nothing happened. Literally. Terminal shows nothing. I followed everything to the letter, what the heck?
Did you uncompress the executable with upx, or try the newly updated guide provided by felson?
I followed what the very first post said, which I assume is the "newly updated guide".
It's not "newly updated", the OP doesn't seem to be around anymore. The problem seems to be that you have to uncompress the executable in gutsy first. For more information, just read the last couple pages of this thread, or follow the new guide created by Felson which is displayed right at the top of this page:

i thought I had one... Can I download one from this thread??
See my answer in the other epsxe thread about the BIOS. Should move this conversation there, as this thread is old and outdated.* ePSXe: PSX BIOS loaded [/home/civilized/epsxe/bios/erase.me].
