very good howto, thanks!
I only had the one video renderer available, does anyone know if any hardware renderers work that use opengl - hope this isn't a stupid question!!

Awesome howto! Thanks very much! All is working good now. The only problem I had is that none of my joypads seemed to work. I had set them up previously using Automatix, and Linux sees them fine, but they didn't work in ePSXe. Fixed this by installing padjoy. It can be found here:
http://http://members.chello.at/eric.../padJoy082.tgz
I get this error when trying to run this.
./epsxe: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
any hints? I have all the libgtk stuff from apt installed
*edit*
Nevermind, apt-cache search sucks nuts, I searched synaptic and found my stuff immediately.

Hi, thanks for the HOW-TO
However when I come to config my video or sound it crashes and I get the following error message:
Gdk-WARNING **: can not set locale modifiers
/usr/local/bin/epsxe: line 6: 9743 Segmentation fault ./epsxe
Any suggestions?
great howto; thanks !
hi, I'm a Linux newbie...
Thx for this How-To...
However when I try to run the script says: "cannot execute binary file".
can someone help me?
p.s. How it runs with FF7?
I'm not totally sure which package you need since I didn't get this message, but try installing libgtk1.2 and libgtk1.2-common.Originally Posted by Akkarin
It seems to me like there is some problems with your language settings, locales. I don't know how to fix it, but you could try searching for "locales" around the forum to get more info. Or maybe someone else knows how to solve it?Originally Posted by Denurb
