Here are the result of xinput list command

    Code:
    xinput list
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
    ⎜ ↳ PS/2 Generic Mouse id=14 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ Logitech USB Optical Mouse id=11 [slave pointer (2)]
⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)]

        ↳ Video Bus id=8 [slave keyboard (3)]
        ↳ Power Button id=9 [slave keyboard (3)]
        ↳ Sleep Button id=10 [slave keyboard (3)]

On my Ubuntu 12.10 and 13.04 I use two fingers on my touchpad to move the page. Is that what you mean with "multitouch"?

Yes, is what I mean; something like the Windows or Mac functions, with the two fingers scroll or zoom-in/out
It's very helpful to read documents.

Well it works out-of-the-box for me on Ubuntu 12.10. Have you tried that?

I can't install Ubuntu 12.10 for now; I have to work only with 12.04
