Done what you say, but stopped at seeing the Proxy bar on Firefox.
I just use the Proxy you've wrote, and it goes along fine.
Is it ok to skip the remaining steps?
Hi
I've installed Tor & Privoxy (And They are starting properly.)
But I've a problem like this post:
When I try to open google (or any other site) browser says:Code:http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=538485&postcount=26I checked tor's logfile, And it says :No such domain
Your request for http://www.google.com/ could not be fulfilled, because the domain name www.google.com could not be resolved.
This is often a temporary failure, so you might just try again.
What's the problem??No Tor server exists that allows exit to [scrubbed]:80. Rejecting.
this in't working for me. when I use sites like ipchicken my addie is always the same. What gives???

Went to install, got this:
Didn't know what to think of it, but continued on through the rest of the tutorial.Code:Starting tor daemon: tor... Mar 09 22:11:36.392 [notice] Tor v0.1.2.17. This is experimental software. Do not rely on it for strong anonymity. Mar 09 22:11:36.394 [notice] Initialized libevent version 1.3b using method epoll. Good. Mar 09 22:11:36.394 [notice] Opening Socks listener on 127.0.0.1:9050 invoke-rc.d: initscript tor, action "start" failed. dpkg: error processing tor (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: tor E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Installed the FireFox plugin, and it doesn't allow me to add a proxy...
Sadface.
Any ideas?

Well, now that I'm able to add a proxy, everything I go to gives me a nice, big ol' 503.
