Comparing the early 2008 and late 2008 Macbooks for Ubuntu?

Hello, I've been wondering which Macbook is a better choice for running Ubuntu in a multi-boot setup. Mainly I'm curious how the driver support for the new Macbook's Nvidia GeForce 9400M is. I understand the previous version of the Macbook has the Intel GMA X3100 graphics card; Intel has better open source support for it's graphics cards than Nvidia. So I'm curious what this means for running Compiz or games or other applications under Ubuntu if anyone can shed some light on the subject.

Any other observations about how the two models stack up would be welcome too.
