    Smile [SOLVED] Fluxbuntu Speed?

    Hi,
I'm just trying out different flavors of Ubuntu on my old laptop to see which one is the fastest. Appearance is not an issue; all I want is for my computer to be the fastest possible. Is FLUXBUNTU my best option?

    SPECS:

    --256 megs of RAM
    --1 Ghz Pentium III
--32 Megs Video RAM (i810 intel)

    Thanks.

    Re: Fluxbuntu Speed?

    Hi,
If xubuntu works well on your system, then flux must work really well on mine because my lappy's got a better configuration and flux is more lightweight than xubuntu.

Gonna download and install it right now to see if that's the case.

    Re: Fluxbuntu Speed?

after reading your post i tried fluxbuntu but to be honest although it was quick there was too much missing like ndiswrapper so too much hastle. But i also gave vector linux a go and have decided to stick with it. It is fast, easy to set up and configure, and wireless was painless. You night want to have a look at it as it is built for older hardware
