I was reading information on it, and i figured out the they contribute code to wine and vice versa. Now im not a programmer, but doesn't that mean that when/if ReactOS becomes completely compatible with windows programs that wine will too? And if thats the case doesn't it make ReactOS a bit redundant?

reactos has slightly bigger goals. to have a reimplemented windows kernel. they believe that you can't make a 100% windows compatable systems out of wine + linux. think of reactos as wine + reactos kernel.
so if you want to use hardware that only has windows drivers, then those drivers would work in reactos.
