Unclean shutdown when I shutdown Vista and boot into Ubuntu

This is getting really annoying. I boot into Vista more often now that I have a decent video card so I can play some Counter-Strike or Oblivion. I don't care if it works in Wine, I'm playing it in Vista so don't suggest Wine please.

Whenever I shutdown Vista and boot into Ubuntu, I always get an 'unclean shutdown' and fsck forces a check on the drive. I have a 500GB hard drive so it takes like twenty to thirty minutes to scan everything so as you can imagine it gets quite annoying especially since I need my CS fix at least once a day. Any thoughts on how to solve this problem? I have Ubuntu 8.04.

That happens to me as well when vista shuts down abnormally. It seems to lock the disk, so the way i fix it is rebooting back in vista and let it shut down normally. Hope that helps.
