    how? I just tested smplayer 0.6.4 by going to Open > Directory and it only opens the files in the directory that I'm in, not in the directories below it.

    Click on the preferences button in the playlist and check the option "Add files in directories recursively".

    hey thanks... smplayer still isn't perfect but it's the best there is for video currently, imho.
