Advice on buying a Vaio laptop

Hi all!
I'd like to buy a Sony Vaio FW series laptop, I know that there are some issues: has anyone succeeded in having it working properly? Would you advise against buying it?

As a second choice I'm considering a Vaio NS11Z: would that be a good alternative? does it mount the same wireless (and so far unsupported) card as the FW series?

i just ordered mine too

i hope some one posts some tips and reports problems after installing ubuntu 8.10 on it.

PM me if you have any info man im gonna install ubuntu as soon as i get mine.
