    Recovering files / mtp mediaplayer

    Hej,

a friend of mine saved some pictures on his Samsung YP-T10. Accidentely he deleted them, tired to recover them with some tools and brought it here, because I thought it's no big deal. But I never heard of mtp before.

So my problem is this (wikipedia):
By design, MTP devices (like PTP devices) are not treated as a traditional removable drive. The actual filesystem is implemented by the device, not by the computer's operating system. In theory the OS may hide this difference, but this is unfortunately not the case on Windows or Mac OS. This also means that conventional filesystem recovery tools will be of no use if the drive is corrupted, or crashes.
Are there any unconventional filesystem recovery tools? Or some other way?

I wrote Samsung and asked em, but I hope perhaps someone here got some ideas.

    Thx

Does someone know if it's just not possible?
