When I try to upgrade to KDE 4, I follow the directions outlined at http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-4.1.2, but for some reason, whenever I try to upgrade, I get broken packages. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks.

Also, when I think KDE4 is in stalled, I log in, but the background is white, the panel is gone, the desktop icons are gone, and I a few scattered icons are displayed saying "Object could not be loaded."
