Which wireless PCI card to buy?

    Hi,

I'm looking for a wireless PCI card that works out of the box with Ubuntu 8.04/8.10.

    Any recommendations?

Draft-N would be great, but is not a must - it's more important that the card works.

    Hello!

USB sticks with ZyDAS ZD1211 chip should work out of the box (plug'n'play), at least in Hardy (driver zd1211rw). I bought a b/g stick (maybe it can handle n, not sure) for less than 20€.

Works fine with network-manager also. The computer is not right next to the AP but the connection is steady. I'd buy another of those if I had to.

Yes, I saw you asked for PCI - but for a WiFi device, what's the difference?

P.S.: The packaging that came with the stick even boasted that it is a Linux compatible device - I just _had_ to buy it
