[SOLVED] Can't change OOo user interface language

I need OOo interface in Spanish but it always shows in English. I have even removed the English language pack and purge-reinstalled the Spanish language pack to no avail.

    Any ideas?

Did you set the language in tools> options> language settings> languages

Re: Can't change OOo user interface language

My fault: I mistook the GNOME language packs for the OOo ones. Now that I installed the openoffice.org-l10n-es package evertyhing went back to normal.

(In my discharge, I must say I did search "openoffice" in Synaptic and for some reason it'll show the GNOME packs first.)
