[SOLVED] firefox and filebrowser automatically starting at login for no reason

so i have this strange problem that just started happening

the other day i was fooling around with sessions (system-preferences-sessions)

i was trying to make it so gnome would remember all of my running apps when i rebooted
(so i checked the box that said remember all running apps when logging out)

after doing that i decided that i didnt actually want apps starting at login because it would make logging in a really slow process

so i unchecked the box and thought all was back to normal

    but it was not..

now every time i log into ubuntu, firefox and the nautilus file browser automatically pop up

i checked through the sessions list and made sure there are no entries for firefox or nautilus

yet they still show up at login

how do i make them stop opening automacially?

is there some other list of startup apps?

Re: firefox and filebrowser automatically starting at login for no reason

ok nevermind i figured out how to stop it

i just loged in, then i closed firefox and the file browser

then i went to system-preferences-sessions and i clicked the button that says remember currently running applications

it said at the bottom that my session had been saved

then i loged out and back in, all was back to normal
