I resolved the issue by installing "libavcodec-unstripped-51"

Next, I encountered an error related to the use of mp3 as an audio codec in my command so I used libmp3lame instead. Hope this works for you.

I installed that. It fixed the mpeg2video error, but now I get the unknown encoder libmp3lame error.

check to see that you have libmp3lame installed. on my system it's a package called libmp3lame0
