Does right clicking on the printer icon , probably on the upper panel in Gnome, not give you the option?

wow nver thought this was to quick... nope doesn't give me any option.
Open Firefox and type this in address bar
it will get you to the CUPS interface for your printer.You should be able to clear the jobs in the printer queue.Code:http://localhost:631/printers/

Not that it really matters but there must be an even simpler way of doing this too, I'm almost sure I did this with a HP wireless printer in Hardy..*scratches head*

Assuming that you are using Ubuntu 8.04, Applications -> Accessories -> Manage Print Jobs
also you should be able to double click the printer icon on your panel. a list of jobs should show up and from there you can cancel them
