Question [SOLVED] Can the 700MB Ubuntu CD-image be burned on a DVD instead of a CD?

Tried searching, but got a few very old threads, so I'm wondering if it
still applies. It doesn't appear to be mentioned anywhere in here either...

Is it possible to burn the 700MB Ubuntu CD-image to a DVD instead of a CD?
If so, are there any disadvantages to this (except the obvious fact of not
being able to use that DVD in a computer that only has a CD-drive)? :p

I actually prefer to do it that way because of the speed increase (dvd's have noticeably faster access times than cd's)

Thank you for confirming that. I've always suspected, but never bothered to research that point.
I've practically quit buying CD's these days; DVD's on sale are practically being given away.
