How to get wifi led to work on an AR242x (rev 1)wifi adapter

Hello I have a very minor annoyance I'd like to correct. On my hp pavilion I have an Atheros AR242x (rev 1) wifi card, got it working by compiling the driver.

Does anyone know of a way to get the LED light to behave correctly (blue when on amber when off) currently it's always amber.

I will edit with the instructions I followed to compile when I find them.
