I would like to be able to image the Moon and Planets using Ubuntu.
I have installed Ubuntu Hardy Heron on a Dell latitude laptop.
I have a Logitech Quickcam Pro 3000 webcam that now works with Cheese and Camorama.
I would like more control over the camera for low light imaging and need the video to be in avi format. I would like to be able to set frame rate, exposure, saturation and gain on the camera.
The video capture program that I use in Windows is Virtual Dub.
Can anyone recommend a video capture program that will meet my needs or should I attempt to run Virtual Dub with Wine?
