[SOLVED] What are the restrictions for the signature?

I can't change my signature. It keeps telling me that:

BB code size value is too big.

I tried several fonts and font sizes. No effect. Any ideas?

What sizes did you type?

I find it best to stick with the default font size

I tried the Times New Roman font. With the default however it worked! Many thanks!
But why is the signature not updated yet? Or it takes some time to take effect?

BB code size value is too big.

"code size" could mean that the text including the markup tags occupies too many characters.

'Code size value too big' would be a stilted way of saying that, but this appears to be a more accurate interpretation than 'font height'.
