    Unhappy Toolbar missing

    Hello, i was wondering if anybody could help me with the ubuntu tool bar. I need help with it because, well, its not there. If anyone could please give me directions on how to put it there i would greatly appreciate it.

    is the entire panel missing? ...or just the part with applications - places -system ?

    if the latter...then right click on the top panel and choose "add to panel". then find "menu bar (a custom menu bar)"...highlight it and click "add"

    I will do a clean 8.04 install. Ubuntu is so easy! Tried Suse over the weekend, downloaded their live cd twice could never get it to run. I will probably never step out on Ubuntu again.
