Greetings fellow Ubuntu lovers!
There will be a Free Culture Day event at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall area on October 1, 2008, Wednesday, from 12 n.n. - 7 p.m. Ubuntu Philippines have been invited to have a boot to demo and present Ubuntu, and maybe even give a short talk about Ubuntu.
EDIT: The date has been moved from October 4 to October 1
We're currently looking for volunteers to man the booth and probably give a talk about Ubuntu. The talk will be schedule at around 4:15 p.m.
Other activities for the day include:
- Live Mural drawing, Trading Post & Software Demos
- Introduction of Ubuntu Linux (c/o Ubuntu-PH.org spokesperson)
- Speech by Teodoro Casino, Bayan Muna Representative - RA #5769 aka "Free and Open Source Bill", September 2006, House Bill #1716, August 2007
- A short story by Fr. Michael Condes, O. Carm., "LIBRE"
- Music by Margarita Pantaleon (recording artist)
If anyone is interested, reply to this thread A.S.A.P. (It's quite urgent).
Thanks!
