Installing Xubuntu on a Vaio Crusoe, with no CD, and no support for booting off USB

    Hi All,

I have a Sony Vaio Crusoe that I'm trying to resurrect with Xubuntu. It has no CD drive, and doesn't support booting from USB. Does anyone have a suggestion about how to get it to boot into the installer?

As it's a Windows ME machine, I'm looking at whether it's possible to boot using loadlin.exe from DOS. Does anyone have a suggestion of how to get into the installer with loadlin.exe?

    Have you considered unetbootin?:
